S&A Cherokee Wins Four 2011 InSpire Awards

Cary, N.C. (May 17, 2011) — S&A Cherokee, a full-service communications firm, was honored with two Silver and two Bronze InSpire Awards from the North Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA). Emcee Angela Hampton of ABC11 announced the winners at the Third Annual InSpire Awards Banquet held May 11 at the Brier Creek County Club in Raleigh.

Bronze InSpire Awards reward specific tactics or components of programs, while Silver InSpire Awards recognize entire campaigns. The highest-scoring entry in each category with at least one Award of Excellence also received Category Winner distinction. The InSpire Awards were judged by public relations and communications professionals from the New Orleans Chapter of PRSA.

S&A Cherokee’s winning entries include:

Bronze Award of Excellence, Media Relations – “ReuseConex”

Bronze Award of Excellence, Research/Evaluation – “University Dining Red, White & U Focus Groups”

Silver Award of Excellence and Category Winner, Crisis Communications/Issues Management – “Garner Responds to ConAgra Plant Closing”

Silver Award Honorable Mention, Integrated Communications – “Band Together NC Promotion & Branding”
