S&A Cherokee Wins Two 2012 Hermes Creative Awards

Cary, N.C., June 5, 2012 — S&A Cherokee, a full-service communications firm, has won two 2012 Hermes Creative Awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).
The September/October 2011 issue of S&A Cherokee’s Cary Magazine received a Gold Award in the category of Publications/Magazine. That issue featured the Women of Western Wake, women’s health and wellness, fall fashion remix, guide to downtown Apex, N.C., new neighborhoods and communities, and more.
The company’s PR and marketing efforts on behalf of Band Together NC received a Platinum Award in the category of Pro Bono. Band Together is a local nonprofit that uses live music to affect social change. In 2011, the organization helped raise more than $460,000 for Alliance Medical Ministry.
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. The mission of the Hermes Creative Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the creativity, hard work and generosity of marketing and communications professionals.
