situation

Moldova Mission is a Christian nonprofit organization that hopes to bring the message of salvation to the people of Moldova – the poorest nation in Europe – through recreation, security, and elevation of the quality of life for families, children and future generations. The organization began a camp facility that houses three programs: Camp Emmanuel youth summer camp, a Vocational Training Center, and Hope House, which serves children rescued from the sex-trafficking trade.

Moldova Mission approached S&A Communications for help developing the Moldova Mission business plan and creating the brand logo, and build a robust website that would help the organization explain its mission and solicit funds for its philanthropic programs.

solution

  • Conduct a series of deep dive interviews with key Moldova Mission individuals to determine key messaging and objectives, needs and challenges
  • Re-write the business plan to reflect primary goals and incorporate key messaging with a consistent brand look and feel
  • Identify target audiences for the new website (philanthropists, churches, potential volunteers and the media
  • Design a logo the client called “absolutely perfect!”
  • Design a website that is visually interesting, engaging and on brand with trackable metrics
  • Develop a shot list for a photographer visiting Moldova and selected illustrative photos
  • Leverage YouTube videos from the to increase engagement

results

  • Moldova Mission was extremely pleased with the design and execution of its new website www.moldovamission.com and have referred others to S&A
  • In the site’s first 10 months it has attracted 1,500 page views (avg. 150/mo.) and has helped the organization raise $250,000 – exceeding the $200,000 annual goal
  • S&A Communications delivered the project within budget (which included logo design, business plan and website)
  • The client said, “We can’t thank you enough for the incredible value you brought to the business plan; we couldn’t have done it without you.”
  • Moldova Mission reports that two construction teams have completed one building and are constructing a dining hall on the site. They have purchased 400 fruit and walnut trees and a new tractor for the land. The Mission recently hosted 90 teenagers at its summer camp
